Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of HKSAR
The year 2022 marks the 25th Anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. In celebration of this important milestone, Hong Kong International Airport will participate in two exhibitions which boast Hong Kong’s famous architecture and infrastructure developments.
Exhibition details
Organised by the Planning Department, the exhibition showcases Hong Kong’s major planning and infrastructure developments which make Hong Kong a livable, competitive and sustainable Asia’s World City. Through interactive features, visitors will learn about Hong Kong International Airport’s contributions to the city’s economy and connectivity, and its Airport City development vision.

Location: City Gallery and the adjoining Edinburgh Place, Central

Monday to Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Friday to Sunday and Public Holidays: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Closed on Tuesdays (except Public Holidays)

Crowned as one of the “Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th Century”, Hong Kong International Airport stands as the epitome of modernity and simplicity. From design concept to construction milestones to future developments, the “25 Years of Design” exhibition, organised by the Designworks Foundation Hong Kong, depicts the airport’s fascinating growth journey, among other major design achievements in Hong Kong.
